Position: Mental Health Resident Support Coach
Location: Asheville, NC
The role of the Resident Support Coach involves mentoring and guiding new residents throughout their orientation and ongoing journey at CooperRiis. This position is centered on establishing genuine, professional relationships that assist residents in regaining a sense of engagement, productivity, and contribution to their community.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Compensation: Starting at $17.50 per hour, with potential increases based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary support resource for new residents
- Engage as a member of the integrative recovery team
- Promote the recovery culture and participate in relevant activities and meetings
- Deliver relationship-focused coaching and support to residents
- Assist the clinical team during crisis situations
- Maintain awareness of risk levels and complete necessary safety documentation
- Remind residents about scheduled medications and meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in supporting adults with mental health challenges
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a community or mental health support environment
- Preferred experience in horticulture or gardening
