Position Overview

Sentara Healthcare is in search of a Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical Unit 5K.

This role is designated for the DAY SHIFT.

The unit comprises 42 beds and is dedicated to the care of Adult Surgical Patients. As a Registered Nurse, you will be assigned to specific PODs, providing care for patients recovering from various surgical procedures, including Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Plastic Surgery, GYN Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Trauma Overflow. This experience will encompass caring for patients with conditions such as renal disease, diabetes, COPD, and heart failure, offering a comprehensive nursing experience. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring, and the average patient stay is approximately 3-4 days. Additionally, this unit features 6 beds designated for Epilepsy monitoring and serves as the Living Kidney Donor Transplant Unit.
