Cannabis Pharmacist Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at Green Thumb. As a key member of our cannabis dispensary, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care and personalized attention.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assessing patient certification to monitor for restrictions and recommending best course of treatment
  • Driving retail sales and patient retention through excellent customer service and product knowledge
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state laws
  • Communicating restrictions with the dispensary team to ensure accurate product selection and quantity
  • Providing timely and accurate medication information to patients over the phone and in-person
  • Educating new and existing patients about the properties and benefits of cannabis
  • Consulting patients and assessing their certification to recommend best course of treatment
  • Staying up-to-date on current research and information related to cannabis/marijuana
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Be a registered and licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the state of operations
  • Have 2+ years of relevant pharmacy experience with an excellent patient and customer-focused approach
  • Have the ability to learn and understand cannabinoids and how they interact with the human body
  • Have previous experience utilizing Point of Sale technology systems
  • Have a working knowledge of inventory and sales reporting
  • Be highly motivated, self-directed, and innovative, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Additional Requirements

In addition to the above qualifications, you will also need to:

  • Meet the scheduling and availability requirements to meet business needs
  • Pass any and all required background checks
  • Be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age
