Position: School Speech Language Pathologist

Overview: We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic School Speech Language Pathologist to become part of our team. In this role, you will engage with students in educational environments to evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing challenges. Your collaboration with educators, families, and other professionals will be crucial in creating and executing tailored therapy plans that enhance students' academic performance and communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Identify and formulate treatment strategies for students facing communication difficulties, including issues related to articulation, fluency, voice, and language.
  • Deliver personalized and group therapy sessions aimed at achieving communication objectives and enhancing speech and language proficiency.
  • Work in partnership with teachers, parents, and other team members to weave therapy goals into the students' educational framework.
  • Track and document the progress of students, modifying treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide education and resources to students, educators, and families on techniques to improve communication skills and support language growth.
  • Remain informed about the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Experience or a strong interest in working with children and adolescents.
  • Understanding of educational systems and the significance of speech-language pathology within a school context.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
