School Nurse Substitute

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Nurse Substitute to join our team at Gasconade Co School District R2.

The School Nurse Substitute will provide nursing services to students and staff, promoting a healthy and safe learning environment. This is a substitute position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for covering absences and providing support to our nursing team.

• Provide nursing services to students and staff, including administering medications, wound care, and first aid.
• Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify potential health issues.
• Develop and implement individualized health plans to support students with special needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure students receive comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records, adhering to FERPA and HIPAA guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless care and support.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and industry developments.

• Missouri nursing license, CPR certification, AED certification, and First Aid training.
• RN license preferred but not required; LPN required.
• Criminal justice fingerprint and background clearance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with school-age children and special needs students.
