Nemours is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Transport/Flight Nurse to join our team. As a Critical Care Transport Specialist, you will be responsible for stabilizing and transporting critically ill or injured children, providing expert care during inter-facility transports.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced medical equipment and techniques to deliver exceptional patient care. Our team operates 24/7, transporting patients on average ten daily, with 90% transported by ambulance and the remaining flown by helicopter.

Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for delivering and managing expert, specialty care of critically ill or injured neonates, infants, children, or adolescents during inter-facility pediatric transports.
  • Collaborate with board-certified pediatric intensivists to provide direct medical command.
  • Perform vascular access, endotracheal intubation, chest decompression, and advanced airway management as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ASN required, BSN within 3 years)
  • At least two years of recent pediatric critical care nursing experience
  • Nursing Licenses: DE required to start, MD, PA, NJ to be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • PALS, ACLS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire
  • ENPC, TNCC, Stable, and NRP certifications within one year of hire
  • PHRN and DE EMT certification within two years of hire
  • National accredited nursing certification preferred
  • Previous transport experience preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
