Job Summary

At Canvas Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist or Clinical Trainee to join our team. This role is responsible for assessing and addressing the behavioral and mental health needs of young children, providing mental health treatment, consultation, and recommendations to children and their caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and provide individual and family mental health interventions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each child and family
  • Collaborate with local schools, County Social Services, and other mental health providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide training and education to caregivers and other professionals on early childhood mental health issues
  • Participate in clinical supervision and training to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related Human Services field
  • Current and valid LICSW, LMFT, LP, or LPCC Minnesota State Licensure
  • Eligibility to become a credentialed provider with insurance entities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly young children and families
  • Training in Electronic Health Record systems and DC: 0-5 mental health assessments
  • Experience in working with the developmental, physical, relational, and mental health needs of children birth to five
