Job Summary

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Ambulatory Clinical Care operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistive care to patients at the direction of a clinic manager and medical assistant supervisors.
  • Facilitate the efficient delivery of patient care and support the professional role of licensed staff and providers.
  • Offer support and assistance as directed by licensed staff in rendering basic healthcare to patients.
  • Assist with scribing and clerical functions as a multi-skilled auxiliary worker.
  • Schedule appointments, procedures, and diagnostic tests under the direction of licensed staff.
  • Maintain medical records and other information, accurately documenting patient history, physical, and vital information into the medical record.
Requirements
  • Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system.
  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant with the State of Utah, or completion of first round of clinical and current enrollment in approved nursing education program, or successful completion of RN program.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment and demonstrate effective communication skills on the phone, in writing, and via email.
