Delaware Schools Consortium is seeking a highly skilled Summer Educational Program Coordinator to join our team. This role involves providing specialized instruction to elementary English learners, helping them develop essential language skills and succeed in their courses.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging summer curriculum for groups of students. They will also mitigate unfinished learning by addressing critical prerequisite skills and standards that students must know to advance in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in pre-program preparation days to ensure a smooth start.
  • Develop and implement acceleration opportunities to help students catch up on key standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and write weekly reports as required.
  • Monitor attendance and track student engagement throughout the program.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  2. Possession of or eligibility for ESOL or Teacher of English Learners certification in Delaware.
  3. Proven experience working with students on grammar, vocabulary, writing, reading, speaking, and listening fundamentals.
  4. Teaching experience in elementary or secondary curriculum and instruction preferred.
