We are seeking an experienced Advanced Anesthesia Specialist to join our team at GI Alliance.
Job SummaryThis is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled CRNA to provide high-quality anesthesia care under the direct supervision of a physician. As an Advanced Anesthesia Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in airway management, with experience in facilitating emergence and recovery from anesthesia. You will be responsible for evaluating patient response, selecting, ordering, and administering medications and fluids to maintain patient stability during transfer. Additionally, you will initiate and administer post-anesthesia pharmacological or fluid support to ensure cardiovascular system stability.
You will also be responsible for initiating and administering respiratory support to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation during the post-anesthesia period. Your duties will include providing post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care, discharging patients from the post-anesthetic care unit, and closely supporting and monitoring life functions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all aspects of airway management
- Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia
- Evaluate patient response and select, order, and administer medications and fluids as needed
- Initiate and administer post-anesthesia pharmacological or fluid support to ensure cardiovascular system stability
- Initiate and administer respiratory support to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation during the post-anesthesia period
- Provide post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care
- Discharge patients from the post-anesthetic care unit
- Closely support and monitor life functions
To be considered for this role, you must have a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) and be certified as a CRNA. A minimum of two years of progressive work experience in a multispecialty physician group model is preferred. You should be able to transport patients in stretchers to various rooms/locations, perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist in the facility setting on a regular basis, and effectively communicate verbally and in writing to collaborate with clinical staff.
You should also be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served, possess knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques, and be able to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Proficient technical computer skills are required, as well as the ability to multi-task and prioritize. Self-motivation, initiative, and a strong sense of ethics are essential for success in this role.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. GI Alliance offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
