About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Nazareth, PA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cement manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and Supervise Maintenance Activities
    • Coordinate with the maintenance department to plan and schedule maintenance activities to meet production requirements.
    • Supervise maintenance crews and outside contractors to ensure timely and quality completion of tasks.
  • Manage Urgent and Breakdown Jobs
    • Respond to urgent and breakdown jobs to minimize downtime and ensure equipment is running efficiently.
  • Develop and Motivate Team Members
    • Provide technical assistance and guidance to maintenance personnel to resolve problems efficiently.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments
    • Work with the maintenance department to develop work schedules, equipment usage schedules, and procedures to meet overall plant goals.
    • Prepare material and labor estimates to develop project cost estimates and plant budgets.
  • Monitor and Maintain Records
    • Monitor the acquisition and use of materials to meet productivity and budgetary goals.
    • Maintain accurate records of time, work orders, materials, equipment, and other mechanical shop records.
  • Participate in Plant Projects
    • Participate in the implementation of plant projects, providing input into the design and implementation of mechanical aspects.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure the application of plant rules of conduct, policies, and health & safety protocols during maintenance procedures.
  • Provide Ongoing Support
    • Provide ongoing maintenance support to the plant for all shifts, participating in the plant's on-call program.
Requirements
  • 5 years of mechanical repair and maintenance experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Prior experience working with heavy industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others with or without direct authority.
  • Knowledge or understanding of SAP preferred.
  • Working knowledge and technical competency in the cement manufacturing process.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MSHA regulations and guidelines.
  • Motivation, ability, and willingness to participate in the plant on-call schedule.
