Position Overview:

  • The Cath Lab Manager plays a crucial role within the Adult & Pediatrics Cardiovascular Catheterization and Electrophysiology Team, overseeing the clinical, operational, and business aspects of a Cardiac Catheterization unit.
  • This position requires collaboration with various departments, including Critical Care Unit nursing, Emergency Room, Surgical Services, and 24-hour nursing administration.
  • Ensures departmental compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies and undertakes additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Guarantees the delivery of high-quality care in a secure and therapeutic setting.
  • This role is integral to the operations of St. Joseph's Hospital.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Required: Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiology, or Respiratory Therapy; or a Diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Required: RN (Registered Nurse); or ARRT (Radiologic Technologist); or RRT (Respiratory Therapist); or RCIS (Cardiovascular Interventional Specialist).
  • Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of formal managerial experience in an Adult Cardiac Cath Lab, excluding roles such as Lead, Charge Nurse, or Coordinator; Preferred: Leadership experience in Electrophysiology and Pediatric Cath Lab.
  • Requires at least 5 years of RN or RCIS experience in an Adult Cardiac Cath Lab; Preferred: Experience in Pediatric Cath Lab and Electrophysiology.
