Position Title: Practical Nurse Specialist

Role Overview:

  • Deliver exemplary nursing services to patients at Apicha Community Health Center, adhering to established clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide both physical and emotional support to a diverse patient population.
  • Foster an inclusive environment for LGBTQ patients.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and improve the Nursing Department.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with at least one year of relevant experience (preferably in medical-surgical or pediatric settings).
  • Possession of a valid Licensed Practical Nurse License in New York State.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, preferably eClinicalWorks (eCW).
  • Current certification in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS CPR).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Bilingual skills are advantageous (English with Spanish, South Asian, East Asian, or Southeast Asian languages).
  • Maintain current BLS and infection control certifications.
