Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at the Department of State Hospitals - Napa. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for addressing them.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State of California.
  • Minimum of 12 hours of shift work per calendar month, including at least 6 weekend shifts.
  • Ability to work three major holidays and three high-need days per calendar year.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
