Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Infrastructure Support Specialist

Duration: 6-month contract to hire opportunity

Location: Hybrid work environment with 2 days in office and 3 days remote

Requirements:

ESPO Corporation seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide infrastructure engineering support for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage power distribution systems, data center design, and power quality analysis.

Responsibilities:

· Design and implement low voltage power distribution systems

· Prepare single line diagrams and wiring diagrams under the supervision of an experienced engineer

· Coordinate design with other disciplines, including civil, architectural, mechanical, and structural engineering

· Adhere to client policies for accurate project documentation

· Prepare drawings, specifications, and other materials for procurement and construction purposes

· Prepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs

· Prepare detailed requisitions for low voltage equipment and materials

· Size conduit, conductors, and overcurrent protection devices per the National Electric Code (NEC)

· Review supplier drawing submittals and assist in performing technical bid analyses

· Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents

· Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project

· Perform field surveys and collect required data as per project needs

Requirements:

· BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college

· 8+ years of electrical design related experience in low voltage power distribution systems, data center design, power quality analysis, lighting systems, grounding, lightning protection, and Uninterruptible Power Sources (UPS)

· Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)

· Proficiency in AutoCAD

· Ability to work well under pressure and within budgeted hours and schedule

Preferred Skills:

· Previous experience in engineering consulting with federal agencies

· Working knowledge of FAA standards and specifications

· Familiar with construction practices and safe work procedures

· Ability to solve problems with persons inside and outside an organization to find mutually beneficial solutions

· Previous experience with lightning and grounding protection

· Proficiency in Bluebeam

· Proficiency in SKM and the ability to perform short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analyses
