Radiology Technologist Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Temple, Texas.
Job SummaryThe Radiologic Technologist will perform diagnostic and/or fluoroscopic imaging procedures on ambulatory patients in a physician office or clinic setting. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively explain the procedure to patients, ensure they are relaxed and at ease during the exam, and provide excellent care while obtaining diagnostic-quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
Key Responsibilities- Identify patient service requirements and ensure the correct exam is performed on the correct patient.
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into the specified position.
- Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques and using beam restrictive devices.
- Document pregnancy status of female patients of childbearing age and the shielding precautions taken during the imaging study.
- Ensure the operation of radiology equipment by performing quality checks and troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, and expediting orders.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT-R Radiography certification.
- Less than 1 year of experience in a radiologic technologist role.
