Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to join our team at Apex Companies, LLC. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will be responsible for conducting exposure assessments, environmental sampling, air quality testing, noise and moisture mapping, and cause and origin investigations.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources, including noise, water, air, and building material samples
  • Conduct industrial hygiene assessments, including chemical exposure, noise, indoor environmental quality, and air monitoring
  • Perform water intrusion and mold assessments, including moisture mapping and mold sampling
  • Collect building material samples, including asbestos assessments, sampling, and clearance testing
  • Take detailed notes and write comprehensive work-performed reports
  • Communicate daily with colleagues, clients, and contractors via phone, in-person, and email
Requirements
  • BS degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, or related science field
  • Minimum of 12 months performing asbestos, lead paint, and mold surveys and abatement oversight
  • Baseline AHERA certification coursework and California Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) certification (CAC preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience drafting concise, detailed, and accurate work-performed reports
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations
  • Interest in developing and expanding your professional growth through additional certification, continuing education, and cross-training
