Disability Services of the Southwest is a well-established and expanding non-profit organization headquartered in San Antonio, with branches throughout major cities in Texas.

Our El Paso office is currently experiencing significant growth, and we are in search of dedicated Caregivers and Attendants to provide essential support in the local community.

As the largest provider in Texas for participants in the CLASS program, we primarily serve individuals with severe disabilities, including children. We also extend our services to adults with various disabilities.

DSSW/Lifespan has numerous openings for Personal Care Attendants and Caregivers in the El Paso area.

Work Hours: Various

Schedule: Flexible

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Assisting with bathing and personal hygiene
  • Providing grooming and oral care
  • Supporting routine hair and skin maintenance
  • Assisting with toileting needs
  • Helping with dressing
  • Shopping for necessities
  • Preparing meals
  • Feeding assistance
  • Encouraging exercise
  • Facilitating transfers
  • Performing light cleaning duties
  • Managing laundry tasks

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Experience or training that demonstrates the ability to provide attendant care is required.
  • A minimum of six (6) months of experience working with individuals with disabilities is necessary.
  • No convictions for specific crimes related to caring for the elderly and disabled are permitted.
