Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Screener to join our team at the Brien Center for Mental Health. As a Medical Screener, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical care to individuals in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial medical screenings and ongoing monitoring of patients
  • Assist with medical aspects of assessment, including vital sign monitoring and gathering medical information
  • Determine medical stability for disposition to higher levels of care
  • Coordinate with Brien Center colleagues and other service organizations to ensure seamless care
  • Provide coverage for other medical screeners as needed
Requirements
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) required
  • CORI and RMV check
Preferred Qualifications
  • High regard for professionalism and confidentiality
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to deal with a wide variety of people and personalities
  • Ability to multi-task and manage projects simultaneously
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings, including office, hospital, and community settings
Physical Conditions
  • Manual and visual dexterity; correctable
