Job Description:
- We are seeking a skilled Computer Systems Support Specialist to join our Information Services team.
- Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support for our operations function, including installation, maintenance, and inventory control of hardware and related equipment.
- You will assist in problem analysis and contact outside vendors as needed.
- Additionally, you will evaluate, select, develop, design, and implement operations computer systems to provide information to managers and end-users.
- You will also provide primary technical support for the operations function, including all equipment that the operations function is responsible for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer telephone calls to triage issues.
- Assist users with issues that can be dealt with on the phone or remotely.
- Visit user locations to assist with issues that cannot be dealt with remotely.
- Assist in inventory of IT items.
- Collaborate with the Technical and Systems teams as necessary.
Requirements:
- A college emphasis in computer science or comparable experience in operation of personal computers and mid-range systems.
- Experience in computerized file manipulation, programming, hardware setup, diagnostics, and maintenance of personal computers, mid-range computers, and related equipment.
- Minimum one year's experience in a computer-related field and/or hospital information systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of micro and mini computing, interfaces, networking, and systems analysis.
- Strong technical skills in computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of UNIX, DOS, Windows, Windows NT, and Cloud Computing.
