Mercy is on the lookout for a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician to fill a full-time faculty role within our expanding Family Medicine Residency Program. This opportunity is designed for those who are passionate about providing comprehensive family care in a primary care shortage area, with a focus on Addiction Medicine, Geriatrics, or Obstetrics/Pregnancy Care.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will engage in teaching and supervising family medicine residents in both outpatient and inpatient environments. Responsibilities will also include advising residents, instructing medical students, and contributing to curriculum development.
Mercy Primary Care & Residency Highlights:
• Fully integrated Family Medicine Inpatient and Outpatient Care
• Community-based University affiliated residency expanding from 6-6-6 to 8-8-8
• System-wide Epic EMR
• A large, established multi-specialty referral network
• Qualification for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program

• Additional faculty members include nine family physicians, a psychologist, a hospital pharmacist, and a clinic pharmacist
• Approximately 1 in 8-week Inpatient call
• For FMOB physicians, approximately 1 in 5 night/weekend OB call
Unique Clinic Resources:
• Embedded Community Health Worker (CHW) providing screenings for Social Determinants of Health and follow-up counseling
• Embedded Behavioral Health LCSW with direct referral to Mercy behavioral health services
• Dedicated LCSW for needs outside of Behavioral Health
• In-house ultrasound services with a sonographer available for OB support
• Programs addressing food insecurity
• Diabetes Nurse Practitioner appointments available monthly
• Participation in the Vaccines for Children Program
