Visual Designer

Emprise Corporation is seeking a talented Design Solutions Specialist to join our in-house Visual Communication Design team. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with engineers and software developers to create innovative visual solutions that support our enterprise maintenance management and condition monitoring products.

• Training Support Design
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop print and digital quick reference guides and user manuals for software products, adhering to software release schedules.
  • Utilize Articulate360 to design and develop interactive training based on engineering and customer-defined requirements and content.
  • Design, develop, and maintain a WordPress-based course registration website according to customer and team feedback.
  • Apply design principles to create intuitive and effective software documentation for web delivery using Adobe RoboHelp, and industry-standard version control such as GitHub and SourceTree.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations.
• UI/UX Design
  • Conduct research in collaboration with engineering software requirement teams to gain customer data and insights to inform user experience patterns and decisions.
  • Create wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes of user interfaces for applications based on defined software requirements, to be viewed on desktop and mobile devices.
  • Publish prototypes to proprietary company repositories for documentation and presentation purposes.
  • Document interfaces and design patterns for consistent implementation and reference throughout the lifetime of a project.
  • Develop design specifications (development hand-offs) that outline the construction of each interface in detail for software development teams to implement.
  • Provide design support on an as-needed basis to software development team members to accurately implement designed interfaces in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) testing on multiple web browsers and operating systems from a user interface and user experience perspective on all developed software, adhering to software development schedules and test plans.
• Brand Identity Design
  • Maintain corporate website based on company branding guidelines and company needs.
  • Maintain blog and news articles on the corporate website using WordPress.
  • Create print-ready production files and work with vendors to ensure the successful delivery of printed materials.
  • Provide design support in the creation and execution of branded documents and presentation materials.
  • Maintain existing social media platforms by creating scheduled post content.

• Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Design (Graphic Design, Web Design, or Related UI/UX Field) or two (2) years equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Mac OS.
• Proficiency in Figma.
• Proficiency in Articulate.
• Candidate must have a design portfolio (web or print).
• Must be able to obtain a DOD Security Clearance.

• Experience designing web and mobile application interfaces.
• Experience with print design.
• Experience following and maintaining brand identity guidelines.
• Successful completion of design projects from planning to execution.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Active Learning — open to new ideas, methods, and cross-training.
• Ability to use an existing UI Kit and design patterns.
• Ability to stay on top of relevant Design and technology trends.

• Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Acrobat DC, Captivate, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, RoboHelp).
• Figma.
• Articulate (Storyline 360).
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Remote Desktop).
• Operating Systems: MacOS, Windows (Parallels), iOS, Android.
• Basic Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (while you won't be coding applications, basic coding knowledge is encouraged for website building and successful communication with software developers).
• Web Browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox.
• WordPress.
