Job Summary:
Provide direct nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical setting. Implement and monitor patient care plans, monitor and record patient condition, and serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor patient care plans
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
Requirements:
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a travel registered nurse
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing required
At least 2 years inpatient hospital experience and previous rehab setting experience
At least 1.5 years of med/surg experience
Travel experience required
May need to float to sites within 40 miles
Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
Participates in relevant continuing education programs
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks
