Job Summary

Tate, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to oversee all activities within the Shipping and Receiving departments. This role is responsible for ensuring timely shipments, receiving incoming material, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly responsible for the safety of department employees, enforcing safety policies and procedures, and ensuring proper PPE is worn at all times.
  • Ensure accurate data entry of receiving material or shipment of material into the inventory tracking system.
  • Load and unload trucks properly and safely, adjusting inventory via negative balance sheets to ensure inventory balance variances coordinate cycle counting results and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate customer returned material (RMAs), tracking from point of return to dispositions, and completing all necessary paperwork.
  • Assist Accounts Payable with invoice reconciliation when necessary, leading and assigning work to all associates in the shipping and receiving departments.
  • Track attendance and vacation for associates in the shipping and receiving department, maintaining good housekeeping and following established safety procedures.
  • Work with all required levels of associates to resolve variances, including material handling, Stockkeepers, Associate Supervisors, Team Leaders/Supervisors, and communicate with cost accounting, scheduling, and all needed support associates.
  • Ensure all employees follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions, including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.
Requirements
  • Warehouse and Shipping experience necessary, with typing, computer skills, and good with numbers.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 5 lbs. and maximum of 50 lbs., operate a forklift, and stand and/or walk for an 8-hour shift.
  • Must have a current and valid Driver's License and a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
