Job Overview:

As a Deputy Sheriff - Cadet, you will be responsible for assisting sworn deputies with various tasks, including patrols, investigations, and community outreach. You will also attend the Wake County Sheriff's Office Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy, where you will learn the fundamentals of law enforcement and develop essential skills such as defensive tactics, first aid, and emergency vehicle operations.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior law enforcement experience is preferred but not necessary.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year
