The Client Support Specialist position plays a vital role in fostering autonomy, enhancing self-esteem, and assisting our clients in achieving a fulfilling and purposeful life. This role is dedicated to supporting adults aged 18 and above who have diverse disabilities. In this capacity, you will:
- Execute individual service plans tailored to clients' needs and aspirations, while documenting daily advancements for Community-Based Day Support and Employment Support services.
- Encourage community engagement and ensure safety for all participants.
- Facilitate activities that align with clients' employment pathways.
- Instruct clients on managing daily living tasks, including cleaning, cooking, shopping, budgeting, personal hygiene, healthcare practices, financial management, travel, self-regulation, and leisure activities.
- Recognize crisis situations and effectively de-escalate them, prioritizing the safety of everyone involved.
- Administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations, when applicable.
- Provide physical assistance to clients as necessary.
- Transport clients to community events or job opportunities as required.
