Job Summary

The Nurse Shift Supervisor is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for overseeing day-to-day patient care and supervising nursing staff. This role requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients through physical examination and diagnostic testing to determine their health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Participate in care planning and oversee the implementation of patient care plans.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
• Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient conditions, test results, and other relevant information.
• Document patient assessments and care in compliance with standards of care and company policy.
• Educate patients and their families on health-related issues and provide support as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid State licensure as an RN.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

Working Conditions

This role requires shift work and may involve standing, walking, and lifting patients weighing up to 250 pounds. The employee will be exposed to blood or other body fluids, fumes, or airborne particles, and may be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
