Position Overview

The Nursing Support Specialist is a vital role for individuals currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program, having successfully completed at least one academic term that included clinical training. This position operates under the direct oversight of a registered nurse and adheres to the practice guidelines established by the Washington Administrative Code (WAC).

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a Washington State approved registered nursing program, with successful completion of at least one academic term that includes a clinical component. Documentation, including transcripts and a nursing skills checklist, must be submitted upon hiring and updated regularly.
  • Registration as a Nursing Technician in Washington State at the time of hire.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association at the time of hire.
