Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is a key member of our multifamily team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the quality of our residents' living experience. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepares make-ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general repairs to provide a quality move-in experience for our residents.
Responds to resident requests in a timely and professional manner, providing solutions to their maintenance needs.
Maintains grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities to ensure they are clean, operational, and safe for our residents.
Performs maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor and reports any maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas.
Attends and participates in training programs as required by Cushman and Wakefield to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and company policies.
Requirements:
Valid Driver's license and EPA 608 - Minimum Type II certification
Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, and operating instructions
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs
Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature
Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school
1+ years of related experience
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time. They must be able to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be regularly required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time; regularly operate office machinery. The employee must be able to travel up to 10% of the time. Travel may vary in frequency and duration. The employee must demonstrate the ability to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 100 pounds frequently, and/or up to 100 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
