About the Role

As a Drainage Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing spread calculations, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and design to create drainage plans for clients.
  • Using groundwater modeling to create cohesive drainage designs.
  • Working with internal and external sources on Environmental Resource Permitting (ERP) of projects.
  • Approaching tasks with an open mindset and proposing innovative solutions to design problems.
  • Preparing engineering reports and contract documents for review.
  • Assigning, tracking, and reviewing tasks of technicians or designers.
  • Serving as the Engineer-of-Record on assigned engineering tasks.
  • Managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks.
  • Communicating effectively with team members, internal design groups, and external entities.
  • Presenting proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings.
  • Adhering to company marketing requirements.
  • Ensuring timely completion of time sheets and expense reports.
  • Taking ownership of personal career development.
  • Contributing to the development of other team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviors.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a related field.
