Project Manager Job Description

The PENTA Building Group is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the successful completion of projects in Las Vegas, NV.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Accountable for the successful completion of assigned projects, working closely with the Superintendent.
  • Team Management: Oversees Project Engineers and manages the contractual relationship between subcontractors and PENTA.
  • Safety Management: Understands OSHA requirements and the company's safety policies and procedures, working with the Superintendent and Safety Manager to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Communication: Acts as the main point of contact with the Owner and develops a strong professional relationship.
  • Performance Reviews: Conducts Annual Performance Reviews for Project Engineers and Contract Administrators.
  • Meetings and Coordination: Sets up and runs OAC meetings and project team meetings, actively mentoring Project Engineers.
  • Contract Management: Analyzes and negotiates contract scope of work, consolidates the contract estimate into the budget, and develops the schedule of values and cost reports.
  • Scope Changes: Identifies scope changes that constitute Subcontractor Change Orders and Prime Contract Change Orders.
  • Project Scheduling: Works with the General Superintendent to manage and coordinate project schedules.
  • Change Management: Manages, coordinates, and/or resolves changes or RFI's within a timely manner.
  • Insurance Requirements: Understands insurance requirements like Builders Risk and CCIP.
  • Pay Applications: Works with Contract Admin in compiling the monthly Pay Application using standard AIA format.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience working as a Senior Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager, with 3-7 years of experience on commercial construction projects.
  • Attitude and Skills: Positive attitude, eagerness to embrace new technology and tools in the industry, ability to lead, and desire to teach and mentor Project Engineers and Field employees.
