TScan Therapeutics is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Facilities Director/Director of Engineering and Operations. This key role will support the startup, certification, and ongoing production and maintenance of our clinical GMP manufacturing facility and the operation of our R&D facility.
Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of facility strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Lead the installation of equipment for the R&D, PD, manufacturing, and quality control areas, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Develop, maintain, and execute equipment maintenance and calibration programs to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to prepare and execute calibrations and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve problems that occur during routine operations related to the facilities.
- Respond to critical equipment and system alarms to ensure prompt resolution and minimize disruptions.
- Work closely with scientists to specify, order, move, and relocate equipment in labs, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
- Maintain and manage all facility support infrastructure and vendors, including electrical, HVAC, pH systems, vacuum systems, generators, CO2, compressed air, and other essential services.
- Lead facility construction projects and relocations, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to operations.
- Assist with budgeting for the facility, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost management.
- Manage the Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) group, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Manage janitorial services for the facility, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to researchers and organization members on ad-hoc requests, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Required education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Biotech Engineering.
- 8-10 years of experience with process and/or plant utility systems, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills to work effectively and efficiently in a team-based environment.
- Strong project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Adherence to domestic and international GMP regulations.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn additional software applications.
