Host/Hostess Job Description

Famous Dave's BBQ is seeking a skilled and friendly Host/Hostess to join our team

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Experience: Greet and seat guests in a timely and controlled manner, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Wait List Management: Manage the wait list as needed, providing accurate wait times and ensuring guests are informed of any delays.
  • Server Support: Provide assistance to servers, ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the restrooms and dining areas.
  • Menu Knowledge: Maintain a working knowledge of our menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and nutritional information.
Qualification Standards:
  • Mobility: Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to eight (8) hours in length.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry objects up to 15 pounds, as needed.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen attentively to guests and other employees.
