ABOUT US:

We are a dynamic electrical design and product manufacturing firm currently experiencing significant growth. You will be joining a highly skilled engineering team dedicated to the design and development of innovative electronic products, including process control and automation systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Principal Engineer, you will take the lead in the design and drafting of intricate electrical, instrumentation, and control systems with minimal oversight. You will be responsible for managing comprehensive technical construction plans and specifications, which include but are not limited to Power Distribution, Lighting, Motor Controls, and PLC/RTU controls.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expertise in Process Control and Control Systems Design
  • Strong background in Electrical Engineering and Systems Engineering
  • Experience in industrial control panel design
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to coordinate submittals, change orders, project tracking, and documentation
  • Collaborate with documentation teams to ensure all necessary submittal documents are provided
  • Interpret technical plans and specifications to create bills of materials and instrumentation lists
  • Review and revise control panel drawings and bills of materials from the controls design team
  • Participate in project meetings with contractors and clients, ensuring project material and labor costs remain within budget
  • Proficient in understanding P&ID Drawings and creating I/O lists and PLC diagrams
  • Experienced in sizing power circuits for motor controls, including circuit breakers and motor starters
  • Familiarity with PLC & HMI programming

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
