Principal Immunologist

At People With Chemistry, we are seeking an experienced Immunology Research Director to lead our cutting-edge immunology research team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the discovery of novel immunology targets and advancing our pipeline development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and build a high-performing immunology research team focused on target discovery and pipeline development.
• Stay at the forefront of emerging trends and innovations in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases through active participation in conferences and seminars.
• Manage and mentor a team of immunology researchers, overseeing recruitment, budgeting, and goal-setting.
• Establish and maintain strong collaborations with cross-functional teams globally, ensuring effective communication and resource utilization.
• Oversee the team's daily operations and create a collaborative research environment.

Qualifications:

1. PhD in Immunology with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
2. Demonstrated success in leading early-stage drug discovery programs from target identification to IND-enabling studies.
3. In-depth knowledge of immunology, particularly in autoimmune and inflammatory disease areas.
4. Strong scientific expertise with proven experience in experimental design and data interpretation.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with teams across different disciplines and organizational levels.
6. Experience leading cross-functional teams and promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and scientific rigor.
7. Proven track record in generating intellectual property, including patents and peer-reviewed publications.
