Dentist Tree of the Heights is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As the chief preventive provider, you will play a vital role in ensuring the oral health and well-being of our patients.

In this position, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, educating individuals on proper oral hygiene practices, and assisting dentists with various procedures. Your expertise in preventative dentistry will contribute significantly to maintaining healthy smiles and preventing future dental issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Warmly greet patients and create a comfortable environment for their visit.
  • Prepare treatment rooms meticulously, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
  • Thoroughly review patient health histories and update records, documenting treatments and home care compliance.
  • Skilfully remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth using specialized dental instruments, including scaling and root planning for periodontal patients.
  • Apply fluoride and other cavity-preventing agents to protect teeth from decay.
  • Conduct comprehensive oral examinations, assessing patient needs and identifying potential issues. Collaborate with dentists to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Recognize early signs of periodontal disease and accurately chart findings, communicating them to both patients and dentists.
  • Capture and process dental X-rays, interpreting images independently to assist in diagnosis.
  • Perform head, neck, and oral cancer screenings, adhering to established protocols.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventative measures, empowering them to maintain optimal oral health.
  • Assist dentists during procedures as needed, providing chairside support and ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments for patients, promoting consistent care and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterilization guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of hygiene handpieces and instruments, maintaining adequate supplies.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
