Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a skilled Surgical Outpatient Care Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients throughout the facility.
Responsibilities- Assessment and Preparation: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their needs and priorities of care, and prepare them for surgical procedures.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Continuously monitor patients' health and detect changes in symptoms, health, or pain, taking prompt action as necessary.
- Life-Saving Situations: Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other care staff to ensure smooth transitions for patients throughout the facility, using proper hand-off techniques.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with education and support to ensure they understand their care and treatment plans.
- Documentation: Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
- Education and Experience: Associate's Degree in Nursing and relevant experience.
- Licensure and Certifications: RN licensure in North Dakota and current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong oral communication skills, ability to deal with conflict and difficult people, strong critical thinking skills, knowledge of regulatory agencies and their standards and processes, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
