Position Summary:

This role involves maintaining cleanliness across the District's facilities. The position is year-round and may involve exposure to various environmental conditions including heat, cold, rain, fumes, cleaning agents, and dust.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness in designated areas of all District facilities, including tasks such as sweeping, dusting, scrubbing, wiping, shoveling, polishing glass, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Ensure restrooms are cleaned using appropriate chemicals for tiles, counters, and floors.
• Perform fueling, fluid checks, and lubrication of buses, along with other tasks as required by the Maintenance Department.
• Safely operate and conduct minor maintenance on cleaning equipment such as Floor Scrubbers and Sweepers.
• Document all completed work in accordance with current GPMTD requirements to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Keep the grounds surrounding facilities free of debris and litter.
• Adhere to GPMTD safety regulations while utilizing all necessary safety equipment.
• Assist fellow maintenance staff as needed.
• Carry out additional maintenance-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of performing duties that require reaching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, bending, standing, and good flexibility.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be able to read and comprehend written procedures, training materials, warning labels, and both written and verbal instructions.
• Good attendance record at previous employment or educational institution is essential.
• Must successfully complete a post-offer employment physical and drug screening.
