Quality Process Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Process Engineer to join our team at Michelin North America. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality planning models to ensure delivered products meet quality standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality and productivity performance gaps.
  • Apply right-first-time principles to ensure total quality and minimize waste.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks to customer satisfaction, product compliance, and quality performance.
  • Address complaints, nonconformities, and performance shifts with effective actions.
  • Provide training and mentoring to operators to improve product quality knowledge.
  • Monitor quality results to ensure products meet performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve quality issues.
  • Lead/participate in quality planning for products, materials, processes, and methods.
  • Draw logical conclusions based on in-depth analysis of information.
  • Persuade by appealing to reason using data, facts, and examples.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and process/product relationship knowledge.
  • B.S. degree in a scientific field and 0-5 years' experience in process engineering or quality control manufacturing environment or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to become proficient in internal software systems.
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy.
