About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Central Carolina Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by performing laboratory tests and analyzing results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient specimen analysis for diagnostic purposes under the supervision of a medical technologist or section leader.
- Enter all results into the computer system.
- Maintain laboratory inventory.
- Collect and process specimens in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology/immunology, phlebotomy, and drug screen collections.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in laboratory science, chemical or biological science, or equivalent education combination of training and education.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist by the ASCP or equivalent agency preferred.
