This role involves collaborating closely with all Bakery and Deli team members to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, achieving departmental goals, and addressing associates' needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotes and upholds Festival culture, customer service, and performance standards.
Ensures adequate staffing by working with Human Resources to interview candidates and extend offers to qualified individuals.
Responsible for comprehensive training and leadership of new Bakery and Deli associates.
Manages labor objectives by creating schedules and collaborating with store leadership on labor goals.
Provides ongoing support and training to associates at 30, 60, and 90 days post-hire to enhance retention.
Guides and delegates tasks to Bakery and Deli Department leaders.
Supports associates in achieving their professional goals.
Conducts performance evaluations for Bakery and Deli associates, working with department leaders on specific areas.
Oversees gross profit goals, planning, and shrink control.
Documents policy violations by associates and implements corrective actions in collaboration with Human Resources and Store Director.
Ensures proper signage is displayed throughout the Bakery and Deli Departments.
Monitors sales floor and back stock conditions; takes corrective actions as needed.
Maintains inventory levels and ensures accurate pricing on products.
Places orders with vendors for special requests and holidays, using item movement data.
Delivers excellent customer service by addressing concerns and resolving issues effectively.
Contributes to the cleanliness of the department by organizing and maintaining work areas and sales floors.
Responsible for accurate timekeeping for Bakery and Deli associates.
Prepares coaching sessions, performance reviews, and training materials.
Maintains regular attendance in line with the work schedule, providing adequate notice for absences.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent experience.
5+ years of leadership experience (minimum 2 years in a managerial role) in retail or food service preferred.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in technology and computer usage.
Thorough understanding of the retail food industry, including perishable department operations and merchandising skills.
Knowledge of safety requirements and company safety policies.
Ability to apply safety training to recognize and address potential hazards.
Must possess a WI Certified Food Manager License (Festival will cover certification costs).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands and work environment outlined below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
The associate must be able to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the store, and bend or kneel regularly (50% of the time).
Requires fine motor skills and coordination to operate equipment.
This position necessitates full upper body motion to occasionally lift stock.
Requires sensory abilities to visually monitor the store and create appealing displays.
The position may require lifting up to 60 pounds occasionally (20% of the time).
Working conditions may involve exposure to extreme temperatures (20% of the time).
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time, salaried position. The work schedule will include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
