Position Overview:
The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) is tasked with executing the industrial security program and ensuring that security protocols are adhered to at the Areté Huntsville Facility.

The AFSO will coordinate and oversee sensitive elements of Department of Defense (DoD) or other industrial security initiatives while ensuring compliance with governmental and corporate security regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clearance processing, visit certifications, document management, and physical security measures, including alarm responses for controlled areas.
- Provide guidance to clients and management on security matters, including security education, classified document oversight, security investigations, classification control, and personnel clearances.
- Utilize knowledge of Physical Security requirements, including collateral Closed Areas, and maintain the Operations Security (OPSEC) Program to safeguard sensitive unclassified information, activities, equipment, and materials.

The AFSO will collaborate with the Facility Security Officer (FSO) to develop and deliver training and awareness programs. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in security roles with a thorough understanding of the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) and relevant DoD security guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to analyze problems and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to relay information to various audiences and address security risks appropriately.

Additional Requirements:
