About the Role
The Audiologist is a key member of our team, responsible for administering comprehensive audiological tests, including hearing aid testing and evaluation, electrophysiological testing, and balance testing. This role requires strong communication skills to counsel patients and communicate effectively with ENT physicians when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe environment for patients, self, and others.
- Performs comprehensive audiologic evaluations, balance assessments, and electrophysiological tests.
- Provides amplification services, including hearing aid assessment testing and real ear measurements.
- Consults with and makes recommendations on hearing disorders to physicians.
- Coordinates care with physicians and other providers.
- Completes chart notes for each patient seen and sends written reports to referring physicians and primary care physicians.
Qualifications
Education Requirements: AuD or Master's degree in Audiology with continuous active certification.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: NC State Audiology License, BCLS, and Master's level candidates need a license/certificate from the NC Hearing Aid Dealer's and Fitters Board.
Professional Experience Requirements: Audiologist experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements: Excellent interpersonal skills, strong keyboard/computer/Audiology diagnostic and hearing aid software and equipment experience, and ability to organize time and prioritize numerous duties.
