Position Overview:

The Quality Assurance Engineer will play a pivotal role in the testing and validation of mobile applications. Responsibilities include providing critical feedback during the requirements and analysis phases, authoring comprehensive test cases, and executing tests for both project and support activities. The ideal candidate will utilize their technical expertise to develop, maintain, and execute automation tests, while also identifying opportunities to enhance application code quality through increased unit and integration test coverage.

Key Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in testing mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and QA deliverables.
  • Proficient in defect tracking and root cause analysis using tools such as Jira and Rally.
  • Strong grasp of automation and performance testing concepts.
  • Experience with risk-based testing techniques.
  • Solid background in test environment and data management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • 3+ years of experience writing Selenium tests in Java or JavaScript.
  • Experience with test runners like Junit, TestNG, Mocha, or Jasmine.
  • Familiarity with CI tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitLab.
  • Experience with Selenium Grid is a plus.
  • Proficient in using SQL for backend database validation.
  • Experience with Quality Center/ALM for test case management.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and ensure the functionality of automation test suites.
  • Analyze requirements for completeness and testability.
  • Provide accurate estimates for QA efforts, including test case design and execution.
  • Identify and implement improvements in application code quality.
  • Contribute ideas for enhancing test automation frameworks.
  • Engage in all project-related meetings and ceremonies.
  • Assist in building and maintaining test environments.
