Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Assembler, particularly those transitioning from Aerospace or similar technical fields. This role primarily focuses on the assembly and testing of Gear Boxes and components for Naval vessels.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute various assembly tasks within the assembly and testing departments.
- Disassemble and conduct thorough inspections of gearboxes.
- Assemble and rigorously test gearboxes to ensure quality standards.
- Perform essential tasks such as deburring, cleaning, and painting components.
- Strive for continuous improvement by eliminating waste and reducing cycle times.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering, to swiftly resolve any assembly or testing challenges.
- Provide constructive feedback to Engineering regarding discrepancies in assembly/testing, drawing inaccuracies, and quality concerns to mitigate future issues.
- Foster a workplace culture that emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and environmental stewardship.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues to promote teamwork and a unified purpose.

Qualifications
We are looking for a quality and experienced Mechanical Assembler, particularly those open to transitioning from Aerospace or other technical industries. The majority of the work will involve Gear Boxes and Naval Ship Components.
