Job Title: Private Duty Nurse RN

At Aveanna Healthcare, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Private Duty Nurse RN to join our team. As a Private Duty Nurse RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in their homes.

Job Summary:

The Private Duty Nurse RN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care, develop and implement care plans, and coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to the supervisor and/or physician as necessary.
  • Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner.
  • Participate in and update the nursing care plan to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
  • Continuing Education as required by state.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
  • Home health experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to travel.
