Role Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will:
1. Prepare patients for their appointments by performing essential tasks such as:
- Documenting the chief complaint
- Taking vital signs
- Reviewing medical history and allergies
- Conducting thorough medication reconciliation
- Utilizing the Encounter Guide to address care gaps, including screenings and follow-ups
- Completing necessary documentation in our electronic health record system.
2. Assist with in-office procedures, which may include:
- Blood draws
- Mental status evaluations
- EKGs
- Walking oxygen studies
- Point of care testing.
3. Administer vaccinations and injections as permitted by your scope of practice.
4. Schedule follow-up appointments in accordance with office protocols.
5. Collaborate with healthcare providers and the clinical team to ensure effective implementation of care plans.
Qualifications:
For Medical Assistants:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification: Must achieve BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
- Preferred Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a clinical healthcare setting, ideally within a primary care environment.
For LPN/RN:
- Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing or a degree in Nursing.
- Licensure: Active LPN or RN license required.
