Job Title: Packaging Technician

Faribault Foods Inc. is seeking a skilled Packaging Technician to join our production team. As a Packaging Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of various packaging equipment and related material handling systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate packaging equipment to permit high rates of efficiency and a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality standards of finished product.
  • Perform line observations, calculate downtime, perform safety checks, and quality checks, quality audits, complete maintenance work orders and take action and make recommendations based on these results.
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of assigned equipment on the packaging line.
  • Request product and materials to assure that the Business Unit goals and customer orders are achieved in a timely fashion.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of production environment machinery operation equivalent to at least one (1) year experience preferred, including ability to run, set-up and change-over equipment.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot production related problems.
  • Demonstrated equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computers and software applications, preferably with MS Office applications.
