Senior Inland Marine Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inland Marine Underwriter to join our team as an Account Executive Officer. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for managing the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.

• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners and external agents and brokers to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills
• Develop and execute agency sales plans and partner with the Managing Director to develop region/group sales plans

• Bachelor's degree
• 6-8 years of relevant underwriting experience with experience in inland marine
• Deep knowledge of inland marine products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to proactively identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to successfully negotiate in difficult situations
