Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Distribution of Medications: Prepare and distribute sterile and non-sterile oral and injectable medications, including specialty medications, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Participation in Departmental Programs: Participate in departmental programs, including quality improvement initiatives and educational activities.
  • Rotation and Flexibility: Rotate through various areas of the pharmacy, including the sterile manufacturing area, and be flexible with your schedule to meet the needs of the department.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing and a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication and Technical Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write the English language, and adequate computer skills to complete assigned projects and tasks.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional sitting, pushing, and pulling, with the ability to lift materials up to 40 pounds for distances of 10 feet.
